Wordless Wednesday - New Toys

We did that thing she hates again...

Isn't she sweet and calm? Unsuspecting? I took Indy in to get her weapons of mass destruction, I mean talons, I mean her nails cut Saturday morning. She was fine when we walked into Pet Smart, fine when she could see people and toys and sniff puppies and treats. Walk into the groomers and she spent the 3 minutes waiting trying push the door open.

Thankfully she didn't scream like last time although the girl who did them was new and I wasn't impressed. Usually I am allowed to cross the line into the other realm grooming area but not this time. Another groomer had to hold on to Indy while she was on the table with the special leash so the new girl could cut her nails. (Can you tell I just figured out how to do the crossing out words?) I am almost wondering if I need to start giving her Valium when she gets her nails done...

Indy didn't forgive me after the first cookie and spent the car ride home on the floor in the front seat... but all was forgiven after she beat up her hedgehog when we got home.

Oh Gus

Gus has no table manners, the minute I lean back he tries to leap onto my lap. Although he is interested in what is on the table, he is more interested on being the centre of mommy's attention.

Plus he begs. He will sit there and stare at you while you eat, thankfully no whining or scratching. But the staring is bad enough!

Riding in the Car

Sorry I haven't been around much to post lately.. my days have been mixed with work, ball playoffs and the hubby recovering from a some what serious leg injury. He is doing just fine now thankfully and is back to work.
This is Indy's favorite spot in the car besides my lap; she gets the full heat of the sunshine and the cooling wind from the open windows. Plus she gets to make cute faces at the cars behind us!

Remembering the Warmth

Was it just last week that it was super boiling hot?
That we couldn't use any blankets on the bed or open any curtains?
It was, wasn't it? This week has been nothing but cool although after the heat wave, it feels cold!
But never fear, the sun is supposed to return tomorrow!

Ahhh the running...

Look at her go! Indy loves to race around, infact that is how she got her name. She spent the whole first weekend we got her racing in circles. Our little indy car racer.
With the weather lately it has been hard to let them race, it has been so hot out and Gus doesn't really know when to stop.
But in the mornings and of course evenings when the shade falls across the backyard, let the races begin!
Around the yard, through the bushes, around that pot of dead lavender Gus killed over the winter and back again!
