Sorry for the lack of posts lately.. it has been none stop go go go since went to Penticton.
Infact this laundry pile where Gus is hiding has tripled in size.
Gus was hiding so he could sneak into bed with us but we caught him!

Softball Season has Started

Well technically it started at the beginning of May but last night was one of the warmer nights we had. Ball is in Richmond (about 20 minutes from us by highway) where the Vancouver International Airport is and let me tell you.. that city is windy! Mostly since it is surrounded by water so cool nights can be cold.
Last night was just cool so I brought along Gus and Indy for a chance to be outdoors and socialize with the ball team.

They got lots of love and sunflower seeds (well Indy did with and without the shells!) and of course a softball must - bully sticks.

Sorry for the lack of posts these last few days, we had a long weekend (The Queen's Birthday) and Shane had a soft ball tournament in Penticton. Penticton is a good 4 hour drive mostly east from Vancouver. Indy hates long car rides.

And all Gus wants is to sit on my lap.
I don't have any of Gus on the way home since he was on my lap.. but I have 2 of Indy after 4 late nights and 3 long days of sun and softball!

I unfortunately don't have many non cell phone pictures to post since my camera battery died and I forgot the charger!! Sorry!

Sweet 16

Meet Emilie.. she is my younger sister. For the last 3 months she was in Quebec on an exchange for school and unfortunately she missed her 16th birthday. So last week we held her birthday party.
Mom made salmon burgers......
And boiled corn on the cob, fresh from California...
And Grandma made birthday cake. Emilie told her her it was the best cake she had made so far, what had she done differently? Grandma used a box mix!... oops!!
We didn't have candles so Emilie pretended to blow out them out. That is one of my brothers sitting beside her, Andrew. He just came home from school in New Brunswick. My mom had a very empty house for the last few months!

Sleepy

Gus is way too tired to play with his keys this morning.. all that late night partying with Roxi.

It's Raining

Actually I swear it has been a monsoon for the last two days. It's awful and only seems to rain harder when it is time for the dogs to go out.
But we have been keeping busy inside, Roxi has been digging through the toy box finding all sorts of things Gus and Indy forgot they had. 
The downside? They don't last long after... but that's ok because we have more then enough!

Sneaking into the front

Gus and Indy love car rides.. they know it means going to my mom's to play or the park or even the ball field. They don't even mind the vet because the Dr is really nice and gives them cookies.
But Gus and Indy have a secret mission.. to sit on mommy's lap. Usually they are in the backseat, Gus looks out the window and tries to sneak up front and Indy will just curl up and nap.


Yesterday Indy got up front on the way to mom's but I wouldn't let her sit on my lap... so she made do until we got there.


It doesn't look comfy but she stayed there for half an hour until we were a block a way and I caved in.

Rules Are Meant to be Broken

We have this one rule, it is very important.. no toys on the couch! Indy does really well with it, mostly since the toys are too big for her to jump onto the couch with. But Gus. Gus does what he likes. However, every now and then I let him keep his toy on the couch since he uses it to fall asleep with. He chews the stuffie while he sleeps, I have tried to take them away but he has a death grip on it and taking it away usually wakes him back up.

We have Roxi over again this week so I am going to let the poor guy get some sleep while he still can!

Big Monkey

This little monkey usually walks all over me while I do my crunches or else he licks my arms. Today however he dropped his keys on my face... twice.
