Snow snow snow

This is the view of our morning walk today, we had a bit of a snowstorm last night, it never usually lasts long in our part of the world, and it is nice and sunny today.

It is funny, this is Gus's fourth year winter and he still doesn't really know what to do with it. He sniffs it like crazy and eats it but he doesn't enjoy it the way Indy does.

There was a dog barking in the distance so they were trying to find it, and of course neither will pose nicely for me with out a cookie.. and sadly there were no cookies on our morning walk.

Late Halloween Post

Indy wasn't overly impressed with her Halloween outfit this year,

well she never is really.

Gus just wanted the candy I was handing out, he was very nosy with the poor trick'er treaters,

I had to let him come to the door with me so he wouldn't bark

but he kept trying to stick his head in their candy bags!

Poor Delilah wants to come out and play too..

Playing in the backyard

My roommate has a pitbull puppy named Delilah and she and Gus love to play in the backyard.

I'm not sure if she is pure pitbull because she plays like a baby moose, all awkard arms and legs.

Indy isn't quite crazy about her yet, she tolerates Delilah but

won't put up with her attempts to play.

But these two love to race and wrestle in the backyard while Indy stays inside with me
And it works out well for everyone!

Passed out

This seems to be Indy's new favorite place to nap.
Or she will lay here with her keys.
But I guess the heat has gotten to her today...

Guard Puppies

Now that we are finally getting our summer weather, I have been leaving the front door open to get some air circulation in our oven house. But since we live on a street where have a lot of foot traffic, it means Gus is on high alert!

He has been barking at everything: people, cars, birds, squirrels, other

dogs and, I am sure the wind.

Indy usually sits in the living room window but I guess she figured she could get in on the action on the landing too.

She isn't sharing

When it comes to the keys, Indy doesn't like to share, it doesn't matter if she is only chewing one of the two sets she is sitting on or in this case, isn't even chewing on them. She growls at Gus if he comes near her.

I kind of feel bad for him because all he wants to do is sit on the blanket with her so he can chew his keys but she isn't having any of that!

She has staked her claim and is not moving!

So Gus gave up and collapsed on the couch.

And all is right in Indy's little world, the keys? Hers.

The blanket? Hers as well

This picture just made me laugh, sorry for the poor quality but that is Gus's tongue beside the yellow key. He wasn't panting, he was just laying there with his tongue hanging out!
